London Festival of Architecture The Festival in 2010 highlighted especially the role of planners, architects and local communities in the preparation of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Bookcase Hexagon showcased the special Wallpaper edition at the exhibition of this magazine. Hexagon is designed by Nendo for Quodes. The freestanding model shown is 178 cm high. |

Wine & Design 2010 Quodes contributed with a ‘Quodes Town’ installation in the showroom of 0900-design.nl. Cabinets, ceramics and side tables as buildings and skyscrapers. Toy cars as busy traffic in the city center ... Charming small scale event, spontaneously initiated, mainly because 100% Design Rotterdam did not take place this year. Great weather, informal meetings on the terraces in the middle of a formerly industrial complex, now housing several creative companies. |

Salone Internazionale del Mobile Quodes sponsored the presentation of Roel Elsinga at Hidden Heroes in the NHow Hotel, Milan. Elsinga designed the Hyperbowl ceramics together with Mara Skujeniece for Quodes. Hidden Heroes is an exhibition of contemporary design and a platform for innovative, functional, beautiful, and dysfunctional forms of arts. Quodes plans a full presentation of its collection in Milan again in April 2011 |

Interior Trends 2010 exhibition IMM Quodes contributed to the exhibition ‘Interior Trends 2010’ by showing Pattern, design Alfredo Häberli. Pattern was selected to highlight the timeless trend of 'joy, experiments and innovation' by designers. This exhibition and its Trend Book offered a vision of future directions of furniture design to the visitors of the IMM. Curators: Marcus Fairs (UK), Johanna Grawunder (US), Cecilie Manz (DK), Bert Jan Pot (NL) and Giulio Ridolfo (IT). |

Salone Internazionale del Mobile In April QUODES presented its latest furniture in hall 12 of the Salone del Mobile in Milan. We introduced many new products, which meant a 100% growth of our collection. The young and upcoming Japanese NENDO designed the serene COLLAR and HEXAGON cabinet ranges for QUODES. He succeeded in reaching an attractive balance between poetry and geometry. MARCEL WANDERS presented side table Ken, a persuasive extension to his baroque BEAUTIFUL WOMEN program ALFREDO HÄBERLI, chosen as ‘designer of the year 2009’ by Architektur & Wohnen, transformed his PATTERN bookcase into a brilliant side-board and came with a new interpretation of his TECA wardrobe from 2008. BARBEROSGERBY introduced many new variations in the SATELLITE cabinet series. Besides furniture, Quodes introduced a new product category: ceramic bowls designed and beautifully decorated by SKUJENIECE & ELSINGA. |

Alfredo Häberli “Designer of the Year 2009” / exhibition Alfredo Häberli is elected as “A&W Designer of the Year 2009” by German magazine Architektur & Wohnen. For this event a special exhibition was organized about his works in art museum "Kölnisches Kunstverein" (Cologne), showing amongst others his design Empire for Quodes. Achille Castiglioni was the first to receive this prestigious prize in 1997, followed by several others like Ingo Maurer, Philippe Starck, Konstantin Grcic. Alfredo Häberli is elected, in a nutshell, because he “unites the functions of an object with a cheerful sense of humor, often visible after a second glance”. |

M’ARS Centre of M’ARS Centre of Contemporary Arts in Moscow exhibited New Dutch Design. The Beautiful Women concept was shown from the Quodes collection. ‘Beautiful Women’ is designed by Marcel Wanders and inspired by the antique dressing table. via milano new dutch design 2008 ‘via milano new dutch design’ is a cultural initiative to show the work of talented Dutch designers, which was exhibited before during the Salone in Milan, April 2008. 50 designs are selected out of 500 and shown during this event during the Woonbeurs in Amsterdam. Salone del Mobile 2008 During the Salone del Mobile 2008, QUODES presented the new TECA wardrobe by renowned Swiss designer ALFREDO HÄBERLI. This is a refined modular furniture system for storing clothing and shoes. QUODES displayed also improved models from its existing collection that incorporate new techniques. The QUODES presentation is held in Bruno Rainaldi's exclusive Milan gallery Entratalibera, for this occasion with a ‘touch of gold’, see the images. |

IDS08 The IDS08 took place from February 21 to 24, 2008 in Toronto, Canada. Quodes presented several highlights from its collection in cooperation with our agent Think Orange, design shop/gallery ‘Ministry of the Interior’ in Toronto and the Dutch Embassy. Salone del Mobile 2007 During the Salone del Mobile 2007, Quodes presented its entire collection in the heart of the Zona Tortona area. We received approx. 10.000 people in our charming little 2 storey building with and a surface of 100m2. The Milan presentation was a milestone in the life of Quodes: all products launched during the Biennale in Kortrijk, are in production. And also a distribution network is set up, which covered at that moment most European countries and the US. |

Wallpaper: Häberli design for Quodes is ‘Best Shelving system’ Wallpaper* magazine selected Quodes bookcase Pattern as Best Shelving system of the year. Pattern is designed by Argentine-born Alfredo Häberli, based in Zurich. He chose basic geometric shapes and piled them one on top of the other to create interesting patterns. Both the variation and the contours give the furniture a fascinating and visual shape. It is a furniture sculpture, suitable for storing books and exhibiting objects. Wallpaper* is a high profile international magazine sold in 52 countries world wide with a focus on design, interiors, fashion and travel. |
